Matthew believes strongly in school choice. A child's parent should decide where and how a child is educated without government intrusion.

Matthew supports our teachers. He believes a teachers license should not be based on test scores.

Matthew remains against common core. Common core are a set of national standards handed down from the federal government that teachers, parents, and students find to be difficult to impossible to implement or master. Standards are good but should come from the State and local level not the Federal Government.

Representative Hill has also passed salary increases for local teachers.
